Martínez Excels in Phoenix Win
The Phoenix Hotspur and Buckhead Bowties obliged those fans who came to Buckhead Grounds hoping for an exciting game.

The Phoenix Hotspur relied on the hitting of shortstop Martín Martínez to stop the Buckhead Bowties, 11-4. For the game, Martínez went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Scott William got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Albert González's at-bat in the top of the fifth was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 4-4. The Phoenix right fielder hit a 2-run single off Germán Rodríguez to put the Hotspur up.

"What a game," said González. "We needed every last run."

The Bowties fall to 4-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2026.
