"Getting ahead of the hitters is the key," said Scarborough.
The Grim Reapers knocked off the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, 5-1. Grim starter Edward Scarborough pitched well enough to earn top player honors. Grim is second in the Silver A with a record of 48-29.
Tomás Costello was 1 for 4 for Grim. In the top of the third, with the teams deadlocked, 0-0, Costello delivered for the Reapers. His run-scoring ground out put Grim on top, 1-0.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Scarborough told the Grim News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
