Paul Addison pitched a gem to lead Louisiana to a 5-1 victory over the Chicago Tula. Addison was the winning pitcher and moves to 7-2. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 2 walks. The Dragoons saw their record improve to 46-28.

The Dragoons beat the Tula in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the single Giuseppe Provolone produced in the bottom of the third. Batting against Chicago pitcher Juan Valdéz, he gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
