Grafton Middies starter Wayne Hurst was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 3-0. The loss drops Thunder Bay to 7-4.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Lynwood Matos didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Thunder Bay trailing 1-0, Matos retired Bronson Nicholls to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Matos, with a wink.
