Reapers Suffer 1-0 Loss to Expos
|
Runs were at a premium in the Niagara Falls-Grim matchup.
Grim wasted a solid 7-inning effort from starting pitcher Luis Hernández, losing to Niagara Falls, 1-0, at The Coffin. Mannus Dijkman, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.
There was more than one reason the Expos beat the Reapers, but one factor was Jim Unknown. In the top of the fifth, the Niagara Falls catcher came to bat and hit a solo home run. It staked his team to a 1-0 lead.
In postgame comments, Unknown told the Niagara Falls Observer: "Do people still doubt I give 100%?"
The Expos' win now puts them at 29-43.
