The Syracuse Storm got a superb performance from pitcher Morihiro Sai, but the BC still won the game, 6-5. Sai was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings allowing 4 runs. Félix Santiago picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-3. Juan Vargas was tagged with the loss. The Storm have now dropped 9 straight.

The game came to an abrupt end with one out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Juan Vargas, Marlon Webster hit a sacrifice fly. It gave Put-In-Bay the 6-5 walk-off win.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Webster said.
