Benefiting from Harry Gibson's productive game, the Louisiana Dragoons downed the Put-In-Bay BC, 6-5. Gibson was 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI for the Dragoons. Louisiana reliever Alfredo Velásquez picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Felipe Pereira shouldered the loss. Brian Krick earned the save, his 16th.

Jody Bennett provided some late-game heroics for Louisiana. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a full count cutter from Felipe Pereira and propelled Louisiana to a 6-5 lead.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Bennett told the Louisiana News.

Louisiana occupies second place in the Silver A at 41-24.
