Reapers Win at Syracuse, 4-3
|
Grim pitcher Ricardo Ruíz did his part in helping his team beat the Syracuse Storm, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Earning his 11th save of the year was Quinton Richards. Their 38-26 record puts the Reapers 5th in the Silver A.
Carlos Chávez was a key contributor to the win for the Reapers. In the top of the fourth with no one out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to left. He went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Chávez told the Grim News.
