Victory Over Hotspur U-21 Takes Mancelona to 40-24
Mancelona Torch starter Tony Ruíz was in fine form against the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 at Hotspur Kiddie Complex, leading his team to a 8-3 win. Mancelona reliever Tony Ruíz got the win, raising his record to 2-1. José Santiago was tagged with the loss. The third-place Torch have won 4 straight.

Jacksonville, Florida-born Todd Sentell came through in the clutch. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Torch trailing 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run to right-center to put Mancelona on top.

"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Sentell. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
