Middies Prevail, 10-3, Over Thunder Bay

The Grafton Middies eeked out a 10-3 win versus the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Field of the Middies. Nobody did more than pitcher Robbie Baxter, who captured player of the game honors. Baxter got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. Baxter allowed no earned runs. Losses have been few and far between for the Northern Lions BC, who are now 7-3.
In the bottom of the first, Jarred Morgan hit a run-scoring single for Grafton. The 11th hit of the season for the Grafton designated hitter put the Middies on top, 1-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Morgan.
