Reapers Saddle Jets with 7-2 Loss

The Grim Reapers stymied the Kennesaw Jets, 7-2, at Jets Stadium. Guillermo Mata, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Grim. The Reapers go to 25-20, putting them 5th in the Silver A.
Mata contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Grim in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Mata took a slider from Roger Murdock and stroked the home run to left-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Reapers to leap in front, 4-2.
"Enjoyed this one," Mata told the Grim News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
