Navarro Hands Austin 2-0 Loss

In a low-scoring contest between the Northern Virginia Retrievers and the Austin Rangers, pitcher Ángel Navarro was excellent. The Northern Virginia right-hander was named the player of the game in Northern Virginia's 2-0 win. Ilie Paunescu picked up the save for Northern Virginia, his 2nd of the year. The Northern Virginia Retrievers, now 2-4, have not found much traction so far in 2026.
Navarro, the Northern Virginia right-hander, went 8 innings, allowing no earned runs on 2 hits. He collected 7 strikeouts.
