Fans who gathered at Waterfall Park saw a good contest between the Niagara Falls Expos and Louisiana Dragoons.
In a tight game between the Niagara Falls Expos and the Louisiana Dragoons, pitcher Ramón Cerrillo was terrific on the mound. The Niagara Falls left-hander was named the player of the game in Niagara Falls's 3-1 win. Cerrillo went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-3.
Unknown-born Jim Unknown came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded and the Expos trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Niagara Falls on top.
Unknown said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
The Expos sit in last place in the Silver A with a record of 7-17.
