Louisiana Wins 5-1 to Continue Red Hot Start
|
Louisiana played host to Put-In-Bay at the friendly confines of Dragoons War Memorial Stadium.
The Louisiana Dragoons eeked out a 5-1 win versus the Put-In-Bay BC at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Bennett Swank, who captured player of the game honors. In 7 innings, Swank surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Brian Krick earned the save for Louisiana, his 5th of the year.
Put-In-Bay had the bases loaded in the top of the ninth. With one out, Rusty Justice stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he struck out. The score remained 5-1, Louisiana. The BC never could mount a comeback.
The Louisiana Dragoons, now 14-3, have stormed out of the gates.
