Multi-HR Game for Lumsden in 10-5 Win
|
The Put-In-Bay BC trumped the Syracuse Storm, 10-5, at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. Put-In-Bay first baseman Lou Lumsden was named player of the game for his performance. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Put-In-Bay reliever Bill Edmonds, now 1-0. The loser was Ryan Dull. The Storm fall to 6-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2026.
The outcome might have been different had it not been for Lumsden. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the BC were trailing 3-1, Lumsden delivered a two-out grand slam home run for Put-In-Bay, giving his team the lead.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Lumsden.
