The Ft. Worth Cattlemen relied on the hitting of third baseman Vernon Caw to stop the Grafton Middies, 6-3. For the game, Caw was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The Cattlemen, with only their 1st win in 4 games, have not had much to write home about in 2026.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Caw hit a fastball from Lynwood Matos for a 3-run home run. The Cattlemen, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
