Galesburg starter Mike McKay pitched effectively against the Provo Mango at Mango Yard. The left-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Ernst Chia locked down his 7th save. The second-place Guzzlers raised their record to 54-37.

Also having an impact was third baseman Willis Kirkendall, who stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third for Galesburg. For the game, Kirkendall went 3-4 with 3 singles.
