Bowties Fall Short at Grafton
|
Middies right fielder Jarred Morgan put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Buckhead Bowties. Morgan went 4 for 5 with 4 singles for Grafton in the contest. Grafton reliever Lynwood Matos picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kyle Buckman absorbed the loss. With the loss, Buckhead drops to 1-1.
Dave Ash went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs for Grafton. In the top of the tenth, with the teams deadlocked, 4-4, Ash delivered for the Middies. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Grafton on top, 5-4.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Ash.
