The Buckhead Bowties got their 2026 United States Silver League season off to a good start, defeating the Grafton Middies, 4-3. Tony Martínez went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. For his pace-setting performance, he was named player of the game. Kyle Buckman earned the save for Buckhead, his 1st of the year.

Martínez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the third. On a 0-1 forkball from Wayne Hurst, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Bowties a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Martínez.

"We've got a great group of guys," Martínez said, "and we're having fun right now."
