Fans who came to The Thunder Dome watched the Wizarding Express and the Richardson City Thundercats fight to the finish.

Wizarding pitcher Ralph McKinney did his part in helping his team beat the Richardson City Thundercats, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Dorian Daly, credited with the save, is now 15 for 17 in save opportunities.

McKinney, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited performance. The hurler struck out 7 in 8 innings and gave up 1 earned run. McKinney, who is tied for 4th in the PL with a 15 quality starts, raised his record to 10-5 on the year with 163 strikeouts.

"We did enough to win," said McKinney.

The Express bumped their record to 58-50 with this latest triumph.
