Kimura Goes Wild, But Divided Win
|
Tetsunori Kimura had a good game, but he could not keep the Oakland Oaks from falling, 8-6, to the D.C. Divided at Oakland Coliseum. The Oakland center fielder went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 in the loss. Gabriel Hidalgo earned the save for D.C., his 4th of the year. At 7-4, the D.C. Divided have played well so far.
The Divided beat the Oaks in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the single Julián Salcido produced in the top of the third. Batting against Oakland pitcher Kent Clement, he gave his team a 5-3 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said D.C. Divided manager Jonathan Gerth. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
