Grey Wolves Walk Off with 2-1 Win
|
Roberto De La Cruz pitched a gem to lead Vancouver to a 2-1 victory over the Oakland Oaks. Vancouver reliever Alfonso Vera picked up the win to move to 3-4. Ángelo Méndez suffered the loss. Even with the win, the Vancouver Grey Wolves have a dismal 26-79 record.
Vancouver won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. That's when first baseman Thomas Campbell hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Grey Wolves fans to their feet.
"I like our resilience," said Campbell.
