Bruins Pin 5-3 Loss on Caterpillars

Bellevue Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Bellevue Bruins and the Grand Forks Caterpillars.
The Bellevue Bruins defeated the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 5-3, at Bellevue Field. Bellevue second baseman Mitchell Cusimano was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 1-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times. The winner was Bellevue reliever George Brotzman, now 2-1. The loser was Reid Garrett.
Trevor Holmes was 1-3 against the Caterpillars. In the bottom of the first inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, putting Bellevue in front, 1-0.
Holmes told the Bellevue Observer: "This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents. Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
With the victory, the Bruins record now stands at 18-13.
