Connetquot center fielder Dale Quick was sensational. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Idaho Falls beat the Chiefs, 8-5. Quick was named the player of the game despite the loss. Miguel Hernández nailed down his 1st save. Idaho Falls's record now stands at 14-15, placing them 7th in the Menard's A.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the sixth inning when the Chukars sent teenager Dam Son to the plate against Chiefs hurler Juan Rodríguez. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 1-1 fastball to score 2.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Son, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
