Benefiting from Carlos Romero's productive game, the Grand Forks Caterpillars downed the Highwood Hawks, 5-3. Romero went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Caterpillars. Jesús Sánchez recorded his 2nd save for Grand Forks. Grand Forks has now won 5 games in a row.
Tied up with the Hawks in the bottom of the fourth, the Caterpillars got a boost from shortstop Kel Altagracia. With a runner on 1st, Altagracia saw a 0-2 changeup from Stanley Eldrige and hit a 2-run home run to break the stalemate and put Grand Forks on top, 3-1.
