The Bellevue Bruins topped the Belleville Bulls, 3-2, in M3L Single A action at Bellevue Field. The player of the game was Bellevue pitcher Mitch Burnham. Brendan Shull picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Nelson Cuevas was tagged with the loss. Jason Nixon earned the save for Bellevue, his 1st.
The game hit a turning point in the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Bruins were trailing 2-1. Jim Unknown delivered a two-out 2-run triple for Bellevue, catapulting his team into the lead.
