Galesburg and Delaware duked it out at Carrier Field and the Guzzlers came out victorious.

The Galesburg Guzzlers beat the Delaware 1787 BC, 6-5, at Carrier Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Lee Allen, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Marcus Blakely picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Ángelo Guerra was tagged with the loss.

Galesburg took control in the top of the eighth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Young-hoon Im hit a run-scoring single to make it 6-5, Guzzlers.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Im told a Galesburg Herald reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."

Galesburg is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 13 games.
