Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Screaming Eagles
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles defeated the Asheville Highlanders, 4-3, in USPL Double A action at Mercer Island Grounds, with Mercer Island pitcher Tomiji Saikawa named player of the game. Mercer Island now sits at 56-46, while Asheville falls to 40-62.

Wade Killefer was the walk-off hero for Mercer Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Mercer Island second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Glad to get this win," said Saikawa. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
