Ellis Harless left his imprint on the 5-4 Asheville win against the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles. Harless, who was drafted in the three round of the 2025 draft, was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI. Brandon McAllister earned the save for Asheville, his 7th of the year. The Highlanders now own a record of 40-60.
Early in the game, Harless had a 2-run single for Asheville. It was his 50th hit of the season and put the Highlanders on top, 4-2.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Mercer Island manager Jared Gilbert said following the tough loss.
