Berneu Stars in Lionhearts Win
With catcher Anselmo Berneu leading the charge, the Lannister United Lionhearts defeated the Yakima Hops, 13-3, at Lionheart Field. Berneu, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in home runs with 14, was 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Domingo González, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. The Lionhearts now have a record of 47-42 with the win over Yakima.

Gonzalo Álvarez had a productive at-bat for the Lionhearts with one out in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, the designated hitter drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The at-bat was important in the Lannister United win.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Álvarez told the Lannister United Daily News.
