Win Streak Now at 6 for Patriots
|
The Boston Patriots beat the Oakland Oaks, 7-6, at Oakland Coliseum. The Patriots got a fine performance from catcher Seon-keun Kim, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. Tom Reynolds earned the win for Boston. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 6 earned runs on 10 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 10-6. Eugene Clarkston earned the save, his 5th, for the Patriots.
Timmy Appeldoorn didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to put Boston on top, 2-0.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Kim told the Boston Chronicle.
The Patriots have now won 6 straight.
