The Minnesota Loons racked up a win at Loony Bin, bumping off the Asheville Highlanders, 6-3. Armando Marrero, who started for Minnesota, pitched effectively for his team. Minnesota occupies 7th place in the Premier AA at 39-41.

With one out in the top of the fourth, Tomás Valenzuela had a chance to do some damage. Asheville was trailing 5-0, but had the bases loaded. Valenzuela came to the plate against Armando Marrero, and hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough to complete a Asheville comeback.
