Misfits Knock Off Minnesota at Ricochets Ballpark
|
Ignacio Medine added some punch to the Salem offense, helping them outmuscle the Minnesota Loons, 8-7. In the game, Medine, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in bases on balls with 47, went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Salem, at 39-33, occupies second place in the Premier AA.
The Misfits got a big at-bat from Santiago Mosca. For the game, Mosca was 2-4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 86th hit of the season gave Salem a 5-4 lead.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Bill Clark.
