The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles scored a 4-3 win versus the Tacoma Fur Traders at Ballpark of Tacoma. Mercer Island pitcher Fernando Reyna nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Reyna went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-4.

Also pitching in was Mercer Island left fielder Jacob Herman, who hammered a solo home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, Herman was 1-4 with a home run.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Mercer Island manager Jared Gilbert.
