The Tacoma Fur Traders did just enough to sneak past the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 4-1, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Tacoma pitcher Luis Castrejón earned player of the game honors. Jeff Pearce was called on to finish, recording his 6th save. The Fur Traders now have a record of 31-31.

Castrejón, the winner, is now 7-3. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 earned run on 3 hits, while collecting 7 Ks. He basically put the clamps on the Mercer Island offense.

"I really like what we did out there today," Castrejón said after the game.
