Screaming Eagles Need Extra Frames to Get Past Hops
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles eeked out a 4-3 win versus the Yakima Hops at Mercer Island Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Fernando Reyna, who captured player of the game honors. Mercer Island, at 35-23, sits in first place in the Premier AA.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 15th. That's when Mercer Island left fielder Robert Paulsen, facing Mariano Martínez, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Screaming Eagles the 4-3 win.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Paulsen said.
