The Minnesota Loons got a superb performance from pitcher Jesús Hernández, but the Highlanders still won the game, 4-3. Hernández was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. Asheville now sits in 9th place in the Premier AA at 24-31.

Bob Miller was the walk-off hero for Asheville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Asheville catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
