The D.C. Divided topped the Oakland Oaks, 4-3, with Lúcio López playing a big role. López went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Divided in the win. D.C. starter José Alaniz was credited with the win after throwing 115 pitches over 8.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. With the win, D.C. pushes its record to 6-4.
Joliet, Illinois-born Miguel Silva came through in the clutch. In the top of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Divided trailing 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run to left to put D.C. on top.
López attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
