Hot N Readys Lose, 3-2, at Loony Bin
Loony Bin was the site of a tense game between the Little Caesars Hot N Readys and Minnesota Loons.

Carl Wheezer had a good game, but he could not keep the Little Caesars Hot N Readys from falling, 3-2, to the Minnesota Loons at Loony Bin. The Little Caesars second baseman was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk in the loss. The win was credited to Bennett Garland in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Ordono Lima took the loss. Earning his 9th save for Minnesota was Domingo Velasco.

The Loons got a big at-bat from Carey Heidemann. For the game, Heidemann went 1-3. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 13th hit of the season gave Minnesota a 3-2 lead.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Heidemann told a Minnesota Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."

At 15-28, the Loons are currently last in the Premier AA.
