Rodríguez Excels in Tacoma Win
The Tacoma Fur Traders thumped the Yakima Hops, 8-1, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Iván Rodríguez was a big reason his team got the win. Rodríguez went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. César González, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 2-2. Tacoma, now 18-20, holds 7th place in the Premier AA.

With Tacoma leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Rodríguez hit a cutter from Jack Thornton for a 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Fur Traders ahead, 4-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Tacoma Fur Traders manager Wesley Ellis.
