Lionhearts Win Again, Extend Streak to 6
|
The Lannister United Lionhearts topped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 5-3, in USPL Double A action at Lionheart Field. The player of the game was Lannister United pitcher Carlos Díaz. Díaz, now 6-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. Lannister United has now won 6 in a row.
In the bottom of the 5th, the Lionhearts grabbed the lead on a two-out single by Curt Johnston. Lannister United at the time was trailing 3-2, but Johnston's 2-run single off César Rosado put his team in front.
