With first baseman Luis Hernández leading the charge, the Northville Eclipse defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 6-1, at Old-Timers Park. Hernández, who is tied for 8th in the PAA in triples with 1, went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The 9th-place Eclipse lifted their record to 13-19.

Hernández had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the fourth. On a 2-1 curveball from Tomiji Saikawa, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Eclipse a 4-0 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Hernández.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Hernández. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
