Screaming Eagles Continue Hot Start to Season with Win
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles defeated the Lannister United Lionhearts, 5-3, in USPL Double A action at Mercer Island Grounds, with Mercer Island pitcher Raúl Pérez named player of the game. Riley Herrick finished to wrap up his 2nd save. Mercer Island has an impressive 16-8 record.

Wade Killefer's at-bat in the bottom of the third was significant for the Screaming Eagles. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Mercer Island leading 3-2, the second baseman hit a sacrifice fly.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Lannister United manager Ernesto Reyes.
