Minnesota starter Rust Cohle pitched effectively against the Yakima Hops at Loony Bin. The left-hander led his team to a 7-0 win. Minnesota is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 7th in 18 games.

Minnesota took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Ieyoshi Yamamoto hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Loons fans to their feet.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Yakima manager Jamie Randall.
