Trujillo goes 3-for-4 to Pull Fur Traders to .500
|
The Tacoma Fur Traders defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-6, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Tacoma first baseman Felipe Trujillo was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Losses have been rare for the Screaming Eagles, who are now 10-4.
Trujillo had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the fourth. On a 1-2 fastball from Raúl Pérez, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Fur Traders a 3-0 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Trujillo.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Trujillo, "but we got it done."
