Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Piranhas
|
Panama City Piranhas starter Luis Flores turned in an exceptional performance against the Atlanta Smoke at The Tank, resulting in a Panama City win, 3-2. Panama City reliever Edgardo Marín picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Juan Pérez absorbed the loss. With the loss, Atlanta sinks to 2-8.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth. That's when Panama City designated hitter Juan Jose Ayala, facing Juan Pérez, had a run-scoring double. It gave the Piranhas the 3-2 win.
"We've got a great group of guys," Flores said, "and we're having fun right now."
