Hot Start Continues for Screaming Eagles
|
Mercer Island left fielder Alfredo García was a significant contributor in his team's 5-2 triumph over the Little Caesars Hot N Readys. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Mercer Island. Mercer Island starter Raúl Pérez was credited with the win after throwing 105 pitches over 8 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Greg Davis recorded the save for Mercer Island, his 2nd of the season.
García contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Mercer Island in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, García took a fastball from António Fernández and stroked the double to left. His 3rd double of the season allowed the Screaming Eagles to leap in front, 2-1.
