Silver Lifts Great Lakers to 11-8 Win
|
Mike Silver made an impact in the 11-8 Pure Michigan win over Calgary. Silver went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Picking up the save was Jim Unknown, his 1st. After today's action, Pure Michigan sits at 54-47, while Calgary falls to 45-56.
The Great Lakers beat the Lynx in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the double António Boccanegra produced in the bottom of the sixth. Batting against Calgary pitcher Adrian Neumann, he gave his team a 9-8 lead when he hit a run-scoring double.
"We maximized our offense today," said Pure Michigan skipper Allen Bartlett. "That makes everyone's life easier."
