Santiago Paez pitched a good game, but his team, the Milton Dogfish Head, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Athletic Club KC Reserves at KC Reserve Stadium. John McCord picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-3. Santiago Paez was tagged with the loss. Athletic Club KC occupies 9th place in the Premier AAA at 34-43.
Athletic Club KC took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Miguel Martínez hit a clutch solo home run to bring Reserves fans to their feet.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Athletic Club KC manager Hugh Howard. "Our pregame was pretty good."
