Reserves Rally to Eke Out Win
|
KC Reserve Stadium was the site of a tense game between the Bakersfield Nobles and Athletic Club KC Reserves.
Ritchie never let Bakersfield get something going. The Athletic Club KC left-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Reserves to a win. Bakersfield is trying to get off the schneid, having lost 8 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Athletic Club KC, had it not been for Bill Dennis, the 29-year old third baseman . Dennis contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11th inning to put Athletic Club KC up, 2-1.
"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Dennis.
